Estimation of the single-source incident power density in direct visibility

Name of the conference: Comptabilité ElectroMagnetic (CEM)

Date of publication: 9-11 July 2018

Abstract: This paper presents two approaches to estimate Wi line-of-sight power density using a half-wave dipole as the receiver of incident electric field source Ei. The first so-called classical approach involves the gain of the antenna, and the second, called vectoral, includes the vector effective height of the antenna. Different scenarios of illumination of the dipole are considered to validate the two approaches. It appears that the vectoral approach remains more general and more precise than the classical approach.
